Find Out More About Lung Cancer Screening at Upcoming Drop-In Events
Tuesday, 30 June 2026
Patients aged 50–74 who currently smoke, have smoked in the past, or have used vapes or sheesha may soon be invited to take part in the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Programme.
To help patients learn more about the programme, the Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance team will be hosting a series of drop-in information sessions across our sites. These informal sessions are an opportunity to ask questions, find out what screening involves, and understand why early detection is so important.
You can attend any of the following sessions:
Marybone Health Centre – 6 July, 10am–1pm - This event is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Brownlow Health (Ropewalks waiting room) – 7 July, 10am–1pm
Kensington Park Health Centre – 13 July, 10am–1pm
We also encourage patients to watch Dr Adalaq’s video explaining the importance of lung cancer screening and how it can help detect cancer earlier, when treatment is often more effective.
No appointment is needed – simply drop in and speak to the team.
