Brownlow Health Celebrates Social Impact Award Win for Pearls Project Lead Jude McMaster

Brownlow Health is proud to celebrate a major achievement for the Liverpool community, as Jude McMaster, Project Lead of Pearls Project, has been recognised with the Social Impact Award at the 2026 Merseyside Women of the Year (MWOTY) Awards. As sponsors of the Social Impact category, Brownlow Health was delighted to see this award go to a project making such a powerful difference to the lives of women across Liverpool.

Supporting women facing complex challenges in Liverpool

Pearls Project delivers vital, frontline support to women involved in sex work and those experiencing substance use. Many of the women supported by the service are navigating complex and challenging circumstances, including homelessness, trauma, and exploitation. Through a compassionate and community-focused approach, the Pearls team works to improve health outcomes, wellbeing, and access to support services for some of the most marginalised women in Liverpool.

A person-centred approach that builds trust

What makes Pearls Project stand out is the way support is delivered. The team takes time to build trust, listen without judgement, and create safe, respectful relationships that put women at the centre of their care. This person-centred approach reflects Brownlow Health’s own commitment to accessible, inclusive healthcare and community support services across Liverpool. Jude McMaster’s leadership has been key in shaping this model. Her dedication to treating every individual with dignity and compassion is evident in the way the team engages with the community and delivers meaningful, long-term support.

Jude McMaster, Project Lead at the Pearls Project, said: "I feel really honoured to have received this award for our work at Pearls Project. We have so much respect for Brownlow Health and the care they show to marginalised groups across Liverpool, so to be presented by them means a lot.  So much of what I do, and what we do at Pearls, comes from listening to women and learning from them. This award is for all the women in the Pearls community, our team, and every woman we’ve had the privilege to walk alongside."

The Merseyside Women of the Year Awards (MWOTY) celebrate women making a difference in their communities, highlighting leadership, innovation, and social impact across Liverpool and beyond. Brownlow Health is proud to support an award category that recognises the importance of community health, social care, and grassroots support services, and to help shine a light on organisations creating real, lasting change.

Celebrating community champions in the Liverpool City Region

Brownlow Health extends its congratulations to all the finalists and winners at this year’s awards. Their work demonstrates the strength, resilience, and dedication of individuals and organisations working to improve lives across Merseyside communities. Jude McMaster’s award is a powerful reminder of the importance of community-led services, in Liverpool, and the impact that compassionate, person-centred care can have on those who need it most.

Huge congratulations to Jude and the Pearls Project team on this well-deserved recognition.
